 In 1944, John S. Cryan Sr. opened his store in Philadelphia with one diamond and a dream of the future. Little did he realize the family tradition would still be going strong 60 years later with its third generation.
John S. Cryan Jr. opened the store at our current location in 1964. We have seen many changes in Southampton, for example the demolition of the old Southampton Bank, widening of Street Road from two lanes to four and, the construction of the shopping centers. I guess you could say we grew up with the town.
 John S. Cryan III receive the title of Graduate Jeweler Gemologist, the highest title available from the Gemological Institute of America, in 1984, beginning a long list of titles and certifications.
In 1990, he earned the title of Certified Jeweler Gemologist Appraiser and the store became an Accredited Gem Laboratory with the American Gem Society. In 1997, John was awarded Pennsylvania’s Jeweler of the Year.
After 60 years, we look forward to the future and still offer the same old fashion service and value you have come to expect. John S. Cryan Jewelers has been a family tradition for three generations.
